Step 1 – Assessment
Assessment includes mapping the physical boundaries of the farm and the field areas. Baseline data established include the soil capabilities, topography, weather and water management issues. Distance to markets and farm access and logistics give the baseline for the planning of the farm crop mix options. Land title and permissions including zoning must also be verified before investment or commercial commitment can begin.
Step 2 – The Plan
With the baseline information and data from Step 1, a Wealth Management plan can be formulated to encompass infrastructure investment, soil mechanics, biology and chemistry, logistics, drainage and infrastructure to deliver optimum cultivation potential. This preparation aligns with the crop mix that has a permaculture agenda, maintenance of soil health and environment including water resources to an optimum, that focuses the crop choices for the farm.
The farm can then agree the cultivation contracts for forestry and agriculture that meet the farm cash flow needs and build profit and wealth from the fixed asset class contracts. The plan should provide for annual cash flow, valuation of the farm as a going concern, the growth in asset value and projections. This allows farm owners to develop plans into the future including retirement, growth or sale.
Step 2 – The Plan
Having developed the plan for the farm, the Wealthy Farmer team work directly with the farmer to implement the infrastructure and farm changes and introduce the crop mix strategy across the farm as agreed in contracts.
This farm is now on its way to becoming one of a number of farms building capacity to international market standards for global trade. This cultivation is linked to large trade contracts underpinning the farm contracts. providing full circle assurances to farmers and customers alike.
